Client(s) Executive of manufacturing company

Jones Day successfully resolved a multi-year investigation by the United States Attorney's Office in the District of Massachusetts into an executive of a manufacturing company, in which the DOJ alleged violations of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA) related to COVID-era, emergency authorization for the production of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The matter was resolved with a non-felony misdemeanor plea, a fine, and after a contested sentencing hearing, probation with no sentence of imprisonment.
