Mike Tompkins represents companies and their officers and directors in investigations by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He has experience defending individuals and corporations in civil and criminal litigation. His experience includes trial preparation, lay and expert witness preparation, assisting companies in investigating alleged offenses, and managing teams during the discovery phase of litigation.

During law school, Mike worked on various fraud and public corruption matters at the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Columbia, Criminal Division, Fraud and Public Corruption; U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division, Fraud Section, Securities and Financial Fraud; and the Securities and Exchange Commission, Office of the Inspector General. During this time, he drafted motions, researched the application of fraud and money laundering statutes in high-profile political investigations and complex cross-border litigation, and assisted in RICO investigations.
