Ephraim Abreu advises clients in high-stakes litigation and government enforcement actions, leveraging his experience as a former enforcement attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and federal judicial law clerk.

Ephraim's experience includes defending and counseling multinational corporations in connection with cross-border matters such as Helms‑Burton Act claims. He has advised on disputes before they have reached formal litigation, managed and negotiated discovery, and argued motions in federal court. Ephraim has also handled matters in Spanish and Portuguese.

At the SEC, Ephraim led investigations into potential violations of the federal securities laws. That experience informs his approach to internal investigations and assisting clients with regulatory interactions.

At the same time, Ephraim maintains an active pro bono practice. He has assisted dozens of migrants in detention facilities on the U.S.-Mexico border with navigating the asylum process and has worked with human trafficking survivors.

Before practicing law, Ephraim worked as a junior banker serving Latin American clients at JPMorgan, where he held FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
