Ashley F. Heintz

Ashley Heintz advises public companies, boards of directors, and senior executives when significant legal, regulatory, or business risks arise. She represents clients in high-stakes securities litigation, shareholder disputes, internal and regulatory investigations, whistleblower matters, and corporate compliance in matters nationwide.

Ashley works with boards and senior leadership before, during, and after a crisis — helping clients assess risk, respond to sensitive issues, and make informed decisions when the stakes are high. She counsels clients on disclosure obligations, fiduciary duties, corporate governance, ESG (environmental, social, and governance), and other matters where legal, regulatory, financial, and reputational considerations intersect.

Ashley brings substantial courtroom and appellate experience to complex disputes. She has argued appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and regularly handles case-dispositive motions in federal and state courts. Her experience includes defending Jarden Corporation in a Delaware appraisal dispute and The Southern Company and certain of its officers in securities litigation. In 2021, Law360 recognized Ashley as one of the nation's top seven securities litigators under 40.

Ashley serves on the Advisory Committee of the Women in Securities Litigation Network and on the boards of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and Zoo Atlanta Leadership Council. She previously taught Securities Litigation & Enforcement as an adjunct professor at the University of Georgia School of Law.
