John's recent experience includes: acting for two Middle Eastern businessmen in proceedings brought against them for alleged unlawful means conspiracy and contractual breach; acting for the Commercial Bank of Dubai in obtaining declaratory and injunctive relief relating to sham documents and fraudulent proceedings instigated by a wealthy Emirati family; acting for a company's liquidators in a debt claim against the company's ultimate shareholder (a British Virgin Islands private trust) as well as in related offshore proceedings; and acting for a global infrastructure fund in a high-profile, formal restructuring in the utilities sector.
