Since opening in 1985, the Irvine Office has grown to nearly 50 lawyers. We provide legal advice and services to the Firm's local, national, and international clients in a broad range of areas including Business & Tort Litigation; Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection; Securities Litigation & SEC Enforcement; Labor & Employment; Intellectual Property; M&A; Banking & Finance; Capital Markets; and Health Care.

We combine the Firm's international platform with our profound knowledge of California's business and legal environments to provide superior representation of clients with complex challenges. Our corporate lawyers advise clients on all facets of corporate law, including M&A, private and public equity and debt offerings, lending, restructuring, corporate governance, and securities law compliance. Our litigation lawyers represent clients in civil lawsuits, trials, arbitrations, governmental investigations, and criminal matters. Our intellectual property attorneys provide both advice and dispute services with respect to patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. Our employment attorneys counsel clients and represent them in litigation. Our health care attorneys advise and represent clients in disputes with both governmental and private entities. Our clients range from large, established publicly-traded corporations to private companies of varying sizes, including many emerging start-ups. Because Jones Day is One Firm Worldwide, our Irvine clients reap the benefits of our global reach, management structure, and integrated technologies, which permit us to respond seamlessly to their needs locally, nationally, and around the world, unhampered by geographic boundaries.

We are committed to our community. Our lawyers handle numerous pro bono matters on a wide range of issues. We offer summer internships to high school students from low income families through the Project SELF program, teach middle school students the fundamentals of the Bill of Rights in conjunction with the Federal Bar Association, and coach and judge high school mock trial teams sponsored by the Constitutional Rights Foundation. Our lawyers serve in leadership and volunteer positions for numerous public service organizations.
