Alexandre de Verdun intervient depuis 20 ans en fusions-acquisitions et en private equity. Sa pratique couvre plus particulièrement les opérations de fusions-acquisitions, notamment les opérations de cessions, d'acquisitions, de prises de participations, d'alliances stratégiques et de joint-ventures, en France et à l’étranger. Il conseille régulièrement des grands groupes industriels et des fonds d'investissement français et étrangers dans des secteurs d'activités variés. Il est particulièrement actif dans les secteurs de l’énergie et de l’industrie bancaire et dispose par ailleurs d’une excellente connaissance des industries de défense et aéronautique.

Parmi les opérations récentes sur lesquelles il est intervenu en qualité de lead counsel figurent la cession par la Société Générale de l'ensemble des ses activités dans 8 pays de l'Europe de l'Est (trois de ces opérations ayant obtenu le "Central Eastern European Legal/CEEL Deal of the Year Award"), la cession par Areva du groupe Canberra à Charterhouse-Mirion Techologies, l’acquisition de Speedy (réseau de 480 points de vente) par Bridgestone NV/SA, l’acquisition par Calgon Carbon Corporation de l’activité Filtres et Charbons Actifs du groupe Arkema, l’acquisition par Total Marketing Services de 70% du capital de V Energy (réseau de stations-services en République Dominicaine) ou encore l’acquisition par Wabtec Corporation de 100% du capital de Mors Mitt auprès d’Eurazeo PME.

Alexandre de Verdun a par ailleurs participé à divers projets majeurs dans les secteurs énergétique et minier, comme la création de Dunkerque LNG (joint-venture entre EDF, Total et Fluxys exploitant le terminal méthanier de Dunkerque) en qualité de lead counsel pour EDF, et la création de joint-ventures dans le secteur minier, notamment avec Eramet (nickel) et Areva NC (uranium), en qualité de lead counsel pour Mitsubishi Corporation.
