Netfold acquires Amtrak Express Parcels

Jones Day provided advice to the management team of Netfold Limited, a parcel delivery company, in connection with its acquisition of Amtrak Express Parcels Limited, a parcel delivery company in the United Kingdom, in a bankruptcy buyout. The deal was notable in that the purchase had to complete in less than 24 hours from initial instructions and eventually completed at 4 a.m. on a Saturday morning for operational purposes.

The West Midlands based express parcels company had suffered financial difficulties and had been seeking a buyer. The business had a turnover of £80 million and nearly 1,000 employees, with 80 depots across the country.
