Army reevaluates veteran's disability rating

Client(s) Client TB

Through a partnership with Disabled American Veterans ("DAV"), Jones Day has begun providing pro bono legal representation to injured soldiers, sailors and Marines who decide to appeal their disability rating. The hearings take place at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C.

TB disagreed with the Physical Evaluation Board's narrative that accompanied his disability determination. He wrote to the Board and requested certain changes, which the Board refused to make. At a formal hearing, Jones Day presented new evidence and testimony regarding TB's disability, and the Board reversed its previous ruling.
