Client(s) European subsidiary of global corporation

Jones Day counseled a European subsidiary of global corporation on a variety of employment-related issues, including:

  • Restructuring its Belgian management team, including the termination of employment contracts;
  • Transferring part of its activities to Dubai;
  • Reducing the workforce in its Belgian plant following a collective dismissal, including negotiations with trade unions and drafting collective bargaining agreements; and
  • Providing assistance within the framework of a procedure launched via the Social Inspection Services of the Belgian Ministry of Labor and Employment.
