United Oils issues US$28 million Senior Secured Notes

Jones Day represented United Oils Limited, a Cayman Islands company which owns and manages palm oil plantations in Peru, in connection with its issuance of an aggregate amount of US$28 million Senior Secured Notes to various private and institutional investors.

As part of the transaction, the Company also issued warrants exercisable into shares in the capital of the Company to purchasers of notes. The proceeds of the notes will be used to complete the planting of the 10,700 hectares owned by the Company's operating subsidiaries.
