Applied Medical Resources obtains dismissal of discrimination action
Clients Applied Medical Resources Corporation
Applied Medical Resources Corporation retained Jones Day to defend the company against a former employee's claim that he was terminated based on his age and in retaliation for lodging various complaints. The former employee also sued Applied Medical alleging that the company failed to pay him overtime wages, failed to provide meal and rest breaks, and failed to pay him commissions due at the end of his employment. Jones Day vigorously defended the company and, on the eve of Applied Medical's motion for summary judgment, the former employee dismissed all of his claims with prejudice for a mutual release and waiver of costs.
