Jones Day represented a Fortune 500 defense contractor in an investigation by the Department of Defense Inspector General's Office (DoD IG) focusing on an alleged wrongful termination under the defense contractor whistleblower statute, 10 U.S.C. Section 2409. At the conclusion of its investigation, the DoD IG found in favor of our client. Concluding that the reprisal allegations were not substantiated, the DOD IG found that the employee's termination did not violate the statute. Jones Day also advised the client on best practices for responding to such investigations under the defense contractor whistleblower statue.
