Jones Day represented a global medical technology corporation in settling a False Claims Act case involving allegations about historical sales and marketing practices for a skin preparation product and the company's relationships with health care professionals. After an investigation by the government, the Justice Department declined any criminal prosecution and HHS-OIG did not require the client to enter into Corporate Integrity Agreement. The company denied any civil or criminal liability associated with the government's allegations.
