Medical center successfully defends "unilateral monitoring" review by OIG

Jones Day successfully represented a community medical center in what was the OIG's first "unilateral monitoring review." The OIG's "review of entities that do not enter into Corporate Integrity Agreements" was formally announced in the OIG 2012 Work Plan. Following multiple site visits, an extensive document production, and a series of employee interviews, OIG advised our client that it was closing the file with no further action.
