Jones Day defended an international professional services firm against national origin discrimination and retaliation claims brought by a former partner of the services firm. After extensive briefing, Jones Day successfully compelled arbitration in September 2010. Following a three week arbitration hearing in December 2012, the Panel concluded that the claimant had not satisfied his burden of proof on his claims of national origin discrimination and substantially limited the damages on the retaliation claims to less than 3% of the requested damages.
