U.S. Steel defends against claims brought by Rosebud Mining and Xcoal for breach of contract and promissory estoppel

Client(s) United States Steel Corporation

Jones Day defended United States Steel Corporation against claims brought by Rosebud Mining, a coal supplier, and against cross-claims brought by co-defendant Xcoal, a coal broker. The same causes of action were initially pursued by the coal supplier in the Somerset County case against client, including the cross-claims of breach of contract and promissory estoppel that were asserted by the same coal broker.
