Camp Wisdom benefits from New Markets Tax Credit Financing

Client(s) Circle Ten Council, Boy Scouts of America

Partnering with the United Way and AT&T, Circle Ten Council obtained $5.7 million to finance improvements to Camp Wisdom, including a new Leadership Conference Center. Camp Wisdom, located only 11 miles from downtown Dallas, is a 371 acre camp and recreation ground. The original property that today is Camp Wisdom was donated by John "Daddy" Wisdom to the local Boy Scouts in 1922, only 12 years after Scouting was first organized in the United States. Last year, Camp Wisdom had almost 19,000 unique visitors.
