University HealthCare Alliance acquires Bay Valley Medical Group and Bay Valley Management Services organizations

Jones Day advised University HealthCare Alliance (UHA), an affiliate of Stanford Hospital & Clinics, in connection with its acquisition of Bay Valley Medical Group (BVMG), an integrated, multi-specialty medical group consisting of more than 35 full-time physicians and operating a multi-specialty provider network of more than 350 physicians in the San Francisco Bay Area.  The affiliation of UHA and BVMG helps both partners flourish in the complex, increasingly competitive, and rapidly changing health care environment.  It will strengthen BVMG's ability to adapt to local, regional, and national forces while enhancing growth and supporting the community-based service model.
