ABB receives antitrust clearance for $3.9 billion acquisition of Thomas & Betts

Client(s) ABB Ltd.

Jones Day represented ABB Ltd. as antitrust counsel in connection with its $3.9 billion acquisition of Thomas & Betts Corporation. The deal established ABB as a leader in the multibillion dollar North American low-voltage products market and a global leader in power and automation technology.

The parties received early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act after a review by the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice.
