Jones Day represented PLVTZ, Inc. (Levitz Furniture) in an orderly liquidation of its assets through a going out of business sale in the context of chapter 11 bankruptcy. PLVTZ, which conducted its business as Levitz Furniture, was a leading specialty retailer of furniture, bedding and home furnishings in the United States that, as of the date of its chapter 11 petition, had 76 store locations in major metropolitan areas, principally in the Northeast and on the West Coast of the United States.
