LaSalle refinances indebtedness in connection with acquisition of Parma, Italy shopping center

Jones Day advised LaSalle Investment Management, Inc., as sponsor, in connection with the amendment of certain provisions of a Sharjah compliance mortgage facility agreement between Parma Italia S.p.A., as borrower, and Aareal Bank AG, as lender, for the refinancing of certain existing financial indebtedness deriving from the acquisition of a shopping center located in Parma, Italy. Jones Day's advising activity consisted in: i) reviewing the finance documents; b) negotiating, drafting, and finalization of the necessary amendment deeds to the existing finance documents, including the documentation necessary for the constitution of a new bank account pledge; and c) execution of the formalities required under Italian law for the perfection of the amendments to the existing finance documents, including the bank account pledge.
