Procter & Gamble acquired Natura Pet Products

Client(s) Procter & Gamble Company, The

Jones Day advised The Procter & Gamble Company ("P&G") in connection with the acquisition of Natura Pet Products, Inc., a privately-held pet food business whose brands are sold in a limited number of pet specialty stores and through veterinarians, mainly in the United States and Canada. This acquisition enabled P&G to expand in the "holistic and naturals" segment of the pet food category. Natura's brands include Innova, Evo, California Natural, Healthwise, Mother Nature and Karma.

In addition to M&A representation, Jones Day provided benefits, real estate, antitrust, intellectual property, tax and finance advice regarding this transaction.
