British Land acquires a 50 percent interest in the Whiteley Village Fareham, and redevelops site

Client(s) British Land Company PLC, The

Jones Day assisted The British Land Company PLC with the acquisition of a 50 percent interest in the Whiteley Village Fareham for £27 million, and a wholesale redevelopment, as Development Manager under a Development Management agreement, of the site for mixed uses (circa 220,000 square feet of retail, 7,000 square feet of leisure, 35,000 square feet of offices and an unknown square footage of residential). Once the redevelopment is complete, the client has been retained to manage the asset going forward.
