Banner Health System cleared by FTC to acquire Sun Health in Arizona

Jones Day advised Banner Health System, Arizona's largest hospital system, on the antitrust aspects of its proposed acquisition of Sun Health. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) granted approval in June 2008 for the parties to move forward with the transaction, which will combine Banner's and Sun's hospital and research operations in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
