Morton's obtains settlement in FLSA class action

Client(s) Morton's Restaurant Group, Inc.

Jones Day represented Morton's Restaurant Group, Inc. in a class action, covering over 300 servers at Morton's New York locations. Plaintiffs alleged wage and hour claims under the FLSA and New York Labor Law on behalf of servers at Morton's New York locations, relating to the sharing of servers' tips with managers and distribution of a service charge for functions in private dining rooms. After taking over this matter from a different law firm, we negotiated a class settlement and obtained final arbitrator and Court approval.
