Internet software company avoids criminal copyright infringement charges

Jones Day represented an internet software company and its partners in a criminal investigation conducted by the FBI for allegedly selling counterfeit software. The Firm became involved after the FBI executed a federal search warrant at the client's business. We successfully convinced the U.S. Attorney's Office to not file any charges against the company or its partners.
