Derivatives lawyer Colin Rice joins Jones Day in Singapore
Colin Rice has joined Jones Day as a partner in its Financial Markets Practice. He is based in the Firm's Singapore Office.
Mr. Rice is an experienced derivatives lawyer who has counseled clients on a broad range of financial markets transactions, with a particular focus on OTC derivatives, structured products, structured finance transactions, repos, and securities lending. He works with global investment banks, retail banks, funds, corporates, and service providers. He also advises on uncleared derivatives margin reform and collateral arrangements, default management, and the impact of global regulatory developments on derivatives businesses and documentation.

At Jones Day, Mr. Rice joins a team of nearly 320 lawyers worldwide in the Financial Markets Practice, who advise clients on the full range of complex cross-border financial transactions, regulatory matters, investigations, and litigation. The group represents a diverse client base of global financial institutions, issuers, borrowers, funds, asset managers, and fintech companies. Jones Day's Financial Markets Practice has helped clients close more than $1 trillion in financing transactions over the last five years, including many precedent-setting financings.

Mr. Rice studied law at Gonville and Caius College at the University of Cambridge. He has been recognized as a leading capital markets lawyer by Chambers Asia and The Legal 500, and has won "Asia-Pacific Deal of the Year" awards presented by Project Finance International and IJGlobal.
