Jones Day partner Brian C. Rabbitt honored by The National Law Journal as a 2022 D.C. Rising Star
Jones Day partner Brian C. Rabbitt has been named to The National Law Journal's "2022 D.C. Rising Stars" list, which recognizes the Washington, D.C. region's 40 most promising lawyers age 40 and under.
The lawyers named to the list are selected by the publication's editors because of demonstrated influence in their practice areas, and for showing strong leadership and innovation skills.
Mr. Rabbitt is a partner in the Firm's Government Regulation Practice, where he focuses primarily on representing individual and corporate clients in high-profile, high-stakes matters involving the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Congress, and state attorneys general, as well as handling internal investigations and complex civil litigation matters.
Over the past year, Mr. Rabbitt has led Jones Day teams that have guided several financial services clients through complex investigations conducted by regulatory enforcement authorities, and he obtained declinations from two federal enforcement agencies on behalf of individuals and corporate clients. He also represented clients in connection with multiple inquiries involving congressional committees, and has led the representation of individuals and companies in connection with internal investigations into allegations of employee wrongdoing.
Mr. Rabbitt also maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing a victim of human trafficking and being a part of a Jones Day team in February 2022 that represented a group of parents in a successful legal challenge to Loudoun County, Virginia, public schools’ mask mandate.
