Keu'an Roper focuses his practice on commercial finance and represents financial institutions, lenders, and public and private borrowers. His experience encompasses acquisition financings, secured and unsecured senior credit facilities, asset-based loans, and cross-border facilities for a broad spectrum of industries and business sectors.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Keu'an was an associate in the Charlotte, North Carolina office of an Am Law 100 law firm, where he gained experience representing banks and financial institutions as administrative agents and syndicate lenders in structuring, negotiating, and documenting subscription credit facilities for private equity funds.
In addition to his legal practice, Keu'an is involved with several community service and mentoring projects dedicated to the empowerment of young males. He is a volunteer with Project Alpha, a national program of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., which provides education, motivation, and skill-building around issues of responsibility, relationships, and teen pregnancy. He also has served as a panelist for the Empowering Young Black Males Summit, hosted by Monmouth University.
