Erwan Le Douce-Bercot has over 20 years experience in real estate law, with extensive knowledge in real estate and property company acquisitions and disposals as well as commercial leases and construction law. He leads the Firm's Real Estate Practice in Paris and advises French and international groups on real estate share deals, property transactions, development, and asset management. He also litigates real estate-related cases before First Courts and Courts of Appeal.
Erwan handled many real estate transactions prior to joining Jones Day in 2017, including the acquisition of a pan-European office building portfolio by a major private equity fund and the acquisition and subsequent resale of a portfolio of hotels located in Paris by Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing and Paris Inn Group.
Erwan has managed major real estate transactions since joining Jones Day, including advising EDF Invest and a co-investor on the acquisition of the 59,000 sq.m "Ecowest" building in Levallois-Perret, Catalyst Capital on the acquisition of the A-City portfolio, and DWS on the acquisition of a logistic platforms portfolio. He is currently handling more than 50 ongoing litigations covering transactions, leasing, and construction law and has worked on numerous leasing transactions for property companies and investment funds and on development projects such as the construction of Médecins Sans Frontières' new head office in Paris.
Erwan is a member of the Greater Paris Investment Agency (Paris-Île-de-France Capitale Économique) and ULI (Urban Land Institute). He is a lecturer on real estate law at Sciences Po, a leading French research university.
