Prashant Kelshiker is a commercial litigator with extensive experience acting in, and advising upon high-value and high-profile disputes for corporate clients, as well for and against government clients.

Prashant has advised upon and acted in a broad range of precedent-setting contentious matters, including disputes in the Australian federal and state superior courts and the High Court of Australia and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) courts.

Prashant's recent experience includes acting in globally significant test cases brought by the Commonwealth government against pharmaceutical companies, a class action defense for a global motor vehicle manufacturer, post-transaction disputes for a state investment fund, a variety of insolvency and insurance disputes, as well as a complex private client dispute involving novel issues of corporate governance and trusts law.

Prior to private practice, Prashant worked at the Australian Government Solicitor in Canberra, where he advised and acted in constitutional litigation involving the Commonwealth and in Commonwealth interests in disputes around Australia. He also advised on complex issues of constitutional law, administrative law and statutory interpretation, public international law, and legislative development as well as on a number of measures implemented to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
