Dr. Sarah Jabri's practice includes advising clients on projects in which regulatory strategy is critical to commercial success. She helps clients identify approval pathways, anticipate permitting and stakeholder risks, and translate legal requirements into practical project steps.
A particular focus of Sarah's practice is advising clients on complex and first-of-a-kind energy and technology projects. She is especially interested in the regulatory development of fusion energy and other advanced energy technologies, where clients require counsel that combines public law experience, environmental and permitting knowledge, understanding of technical project drivers, and effective communication with public authorities. Sarah advises clients throughout the full life cycle of such projects, from early-stage site and planning strategy through zoning, permitting, environmental review, regulatory approvals, and construction readiness.
Sarah has significant experience advising on projects involving the creation of planning and building rights, nature conservation issues, plant approvals, compliance matters, and environmental liability. She is also experienced in matters involving contamination issues, including PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). Sarah has an extensive track record in litigating cases concerning building permits and legal review proceedings aimed at challenging zoning plans.
Beyond her project development work, Sarah advises clients on public law issues relating to real estate and M&A transactions. She also advises on product safety law, including supply chain due diligence, packaging, waste, and recycling.
Sarah is a lecturer at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and is a member of the Association for Environmental Law (GfU). She is the author of several academic publications. As part of her pro bono work, Sarah provides legal assistance to Ukrainian refugees.
