Katie Hickey serves clients in the health care industry on a broad array of legal matters including regulatory compliance, litigation, strategic transactions, and tax exemption.
Katie's experience includes counseling clients on state and federal anti-kickback statutes, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, corporate governance, and federal tax exemption. She also advises provider and payor clients on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. In addition, Katie represents clients in investigations and litigation relating to the False Claims Act (FCA), the federal Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), the Stark Law, and payor reimbursement.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2022, Katie served two clerkships at the U.S. Court of Appeals, with Judge Richard Sullivan in the Second Circuit and with Judge Charles Wilson in the Eleventh Circuit.
