Emma Carson represents clients in complex commercial litigation and insurance recovery disputes at the state and federal levels. Emma has served as counsel in a number of claims involving breach of contract, business torts, construction disputes, bankruptcy, regulatory and statutory compliance, product liability, fair credit reporting, and professional negligence. She has experience managing discovery, preparing lay and expert witnesses for deposition and trial, drafting dispositive motions, monitoring recoveries under coverage in place agreements, participating in settlement negotiations, and representing clients through federal litigation and arbitration.
Emma represents corporations and organizations in the public and private sectors, including institutions of higher education, health care organizations, construction companies, data analytics companies, pharmaceutical organizations, corporate policyholders, and products manufacturers.
Emma actively participates in Jones Day's pro se ADR Program in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, where she has helped pro se litigants navigate alternative dispute resolutions with correctional facilities. Emma also represents noncitizens in petitions for asylum and relief under the Convention Against Torture through the Firm's Border Project and has secured asylum for multiple women fleeing violence in their home countries.
