With experience across industries and at all stages of a case — from pleadings, to trial, to appeals — Peter Constable Alter has the background to address client needs with the bigger picture in mind.
Immediately prior to joining Jones Day in 2021, Peter served as a law clerk for Judge Karen Nelson Moore of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Before that, Peter was an associate at an international law firm where he represented clients in complex matters involving financial services, education, and commercial disputes pending before state and federal courts.
Before law school, Peter worked for a series of nonprofits in the Philadelphia area. Among those was an organization that implemented women's leadership programs in post-conflict countries. As part of his work, Peter spent time in Liberia administering the roll out of Ebola response programs
