Hitachi obtains antitrust clearance for €1.7 billion acquisition of railway signalling business

Jones Day obtained antitrust clearance from the European Commission for Hitachi Rail's €1.7 billion acquisition of a railway signalling business. The deal was closely reviewed by the European Commission and the UK's Competition and Markets Authority, which both cleared the deal based on a divestitures package negotiated with the Commission.
