Seit mehr als 20 Jahren berät Martin Schulz Industrieunternehmen und Finanzinvestoren bei internationalen und nationalen M&A Transaktionen und Joint Ventures in Größenordnungen von mehreren Millionen bis zu mehreren Milliarden Euro sowie bei komplexen Unternehmensumstrukturierungen.

Martin Schulz hat bei Transaktionen in verschiedenen Branchen beraten, darunter Energie, Chemie (Kunststoffrecycling), digitale Dienstleistungen, Pharmazeutika, Automobil und Fertigung. Er verfügt über besondere Erfahrung bei Carve-out-Transaktionen und hat sowohl Verkäufer als auch Käufer zu den verschiedenen Aspekten von Carve-outs beraten. Kürzlich hat er TotalEnergies beim Erwerb eines großen Händlers für grüne Energie beraten, GfK beim Verkauf einer Marktforschungssparte (Verbraucherpanel) und LyondellBasell bei verschiedenen Joint Ventures und Investitionen im Bereich Kunststoffrecycling. Zudem hat er bei mehreren gesellschaftsrechtlichen Umstrukturierungen beraten, wie z.B. Abspaltungen nach dem Umwandlungsgesetz. Darüber hinaus hat er erfolgreich zahlreiche Warranty and Indemnity (W&I) Versicherungen verhandelt.

Er ist Mitautor eines Kapitels über M&A-Kaufverträge und W&I-Versicherungen im Handbuch Unternehmenskauf (Hölters).
