Leah Finan's practice focuses primarily on counseling employers with respect to the design and implementation of their employee benefits and executive compensation programs. She advises clients on a broad range of such programs, including stock options and equity incentive plans, employment agreements, severance plans, change in control agreements, qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, welfare plans, and deferred compensation plans. She also regularly assists clients with the day-to-day administration and compliance of such plans with complex legal requirements, including ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act) and the IRC (Internal Revenue Code). Leah has significant experience helping clients identify and correct plan qualification defects and other plan compliance issues.
Leah also advises clients regarding the employee benefits and executive compensation aspects of corporate transactions and assists clients in integrating employee benefit plans following corporate transactions.
Leah serves as a member of the board of directors for Les Délices (pronounced Lay day-lease), which educates and expands audiences for early music on period instruments in Northeast Ohio.
