Matthew Billeci represents corporations in complex litigation and government investigations. He has experience in a wide variety of litigation, including commercial disputes, consumer class actions, cybersecurity and data privacy, and government enforcement actions. He has experience in all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings and pretrial motions, conducting factual investigation and discovery, and preparing for trial.

Matthew has defended numerous class actions asserting claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA), Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA), California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA), and other statutory and common law doctrines. In addition to his litigation experience, Matthew represents clients in responding to government investigations and enforcement actions, including from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and state regulators and prosecutors.

Matthew maintains an active pro bono practice representing clients seeking asylum in the United States. He is also active in the Orange County Legal Community, serves on the Federal Bar Association (OC) Young Lawyers Division's Planning Committee, and is a Public Law Center Advocate.

Prior to rejoining Jones Day in 2021, Matthew clerked for Judge Stephen R. Clark in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
