Mitchell Ralph represents and advises employers in a variety of labor and employment matters, including complex class actions and individual actions arising under federal and state wage and hour laws, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the Illinois Genetic Information Privacy Act (GIPA), and state whistleblower laws. Mitchell has experience at all stages of civil litigation, including discovery management and dispositive motion practice.
In addition to assisting employers in litigation, Mitchell has advised employers in employment counseling matters and participated in employment-related internal and government investigations. As an advisor, Mitchell has helped clients navigate updates to their employment policies, assessments of legal compliance, and resolution of prelitigation employee complaints.
Outside the employment space, Mitchell also has represented corporate clients in commercial litigation and tort matters, including cases involving fraud, defamation, and claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
Prior to joining Jones Day, Mitchell served as a law clerk for Judge David C. Godbey on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
