Estefania Re assists clients in defending Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) class actions. She also advises clients on complex employee benefits and executive compensation aspects of corporate acquisitions, dispositions, and mergers.
Estefania has experience counseling clients on internal benefit plan compliance and in preparing employment, equity incentive, separation, and severance agreements.
While in law school, Estefania served as a law clerk and clinical fellow for the University of Miami Health Rights Clinic. During her tenure at the clinic, she argued on behalf of an indigent client in front of the Social Security Administration (SSA). She also represented a Cuban domestic violence survivor in obtaining legal status and public benefits.
