Théodore Plat's practice focuses on EU and French competition law matters. In addition to his antitrust practice, he regularly advises clients on other aspects of EU law, including internal market and regulatory matters.
Théodore's experience encompasses all areas of competition law, including merger control, State aid, anticompetitive conduct, and dominance matters. He regularly assists clients in cross-border merger control procedures before the European Commission and national competition authorities.
Théodore has been involved in several cases concerning State aid and abuse of dominant position, particularly in the energy, telecoms, and health care sectors.
In addition to his competition law practice, he frequently advises clients on other aspects of EU law such as internal market issues and regulatory matters, including before the courts of the European Union.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Théodore worked in the Brussels office of a leading French law firm and at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg.
