Bénédicte Graulle's practice is focused on white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, and corporate compliance.

She represents corporate executives and legal entities, both in defense and as civil parties, at all stages of criminal proceedings, in France and abroad. She assists clients in judicial and administrative investigations (led by an investigating judge, the public prosecutor's office, the French Financial Markets Authority [AMF], the DGCCRF [Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control], or French customs) and has been recognized for her experience in crisis management (including industrial accidents, workplace accidents, searches, dawn raids, and police custody). Bénédicte has extensive experience negotiating criminal settlements, including DGCCRF criminal settlements, CJIPs (French deferred prosecution agreements), and CRPCs (guilty plea procedures).

Bénédicte has worked on high-profile white collar cases, including major international bribery and market abuse matters, as well as criminal proceedings arising out of financial, environmental, labor, and consumer law (notably in relation to greenwashing allegations) matters. She is also active in ESG (environmental, social, and governance) and human rights litigation.

Bénédicte also has in-depth experience in complex internal investigations and the implementation of compliance programs and advises companies subject to the Sapin II Law during inspections by the French Anti-Corruption Agency (AFA).

She also assists companies subject to the French Duty of Vigilance Law, particularly on issues related to human rights and fundamental freedoms, both in France and internationally.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Bénédicte spent 10 years at a leading French law firm that focused on criminal litigation and was elected Secretary of the Paris Bar Conference, a moot court competition of the Paris Bar.

She has been a member of the Paris Bar Council since her election in 2022.
