Athina Gaitanou advises national and international corporations and financial sponsors on domestic and cross-border private equity and private M&A transactions, with a particular focus on inbound cross-border investments, including carve-out transactions, business combinations, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and majority or minority acquisitions. Her practice further comprises general commercial law and corporate law matters.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2023, Athina was a legal solicitor at an international law firm in Stuttgart (Germany) and Birmingham (United Kingdom), where she advised clients on M&A and private equity transactions.

She also worked at an organization that counsels companies on bilateral business developments in the United States and in Germany.
