Eric Dunbar's practice focuses on helping clients achieve comprehensive business objectives through intellectual property and related matters in complex corporate and financing transactions and commercial and licensing arrangements.
Eric's experience includes managing the intellectual property, technology, and privacy aspects of corporate and financing transactions, such as buy-side and sell-side mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as private equity investments, capital market offerings, and secured lending on behalf of lenders, investors, and borrowers. In addition, Eric routinely advises on all facets of commercial and licensing arrangements, such as joint ventures, collaborations, and research, development, manufacturing, distribution, and software-as-a-service agreements. In all matters, Eric is skilled at structuring, drafting, and negotiating transaction documents and performing strategic diligence. Eric assists clients across diverse industries, including life sciences, pharmaceuticals, financial services, technology, software, energy, media and entertainment, mining, telecommunications, and luxury retail and hotel.
Eric also has experience with intellectual property litigation, with a primary focus on representing generic pharmaceutical manufacturers in Hatch-Waxman litigation.
