Jones Day's Andrew Butler Named a 2026 "Rising Star" by the New York Law Journal
Jones Day Partner Andrew Butler has been named a 2026 "Rising Star" for the Restructuring/Bankruptcy category by the New York Law Journal. The award recognizes the region's most promising lawyers who are under the age of 40.
Mr. Butler recently represented a group of holders of debt of Multi-Color Corporation and its affiliates in connection with Multi-Color’s chapter 11 cases in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. In addition to his work for commercial clients, Mr. Butler maintains an active pro bono practice. He recently served as lead trial counsel in securing a grant of withholding of removal for a Sudanese immigrant detained in Texas. He is also an active member of the Federal Bar Council's Bankruptcy Litigation Committee. Prior to joining Jones Day, Mr. Butler served as a judicial law clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
