Sarah Welch's practice focuses on appellate advocacy and motions practice. Before joining Jones Day, Sarah served as a law clerk to the Honorable Brett M. Kavanaugh of the Supreme Court of the United States, the Honorable William H. Pryor Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Honorable Jeffrey S. Sutton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Sarah maintains an active pro bono practice. She argued and won an appeal in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and she has filed pro bono briefs in the Second and Fourth Circuits. Sarah also serves on the case-writing committees for Ohio's high school mock trial and moot court competitions.
