Ishita Punj works with public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. She has experience in cross-border and domestic acquisitions, disposals, equity capital market activities, and general corporate matters.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Ishita worked as a paralegal and clerk at several mid- and top-tier law firms in Australia, gaining practical experience in banking and finance, real estate, and energy and infrastructure. She is a founding member of the Australia India Business Council's Queensland Youth Program and in 2026 was a finalist for the Queensland Law Society's "Graduate Lawyer of the Year" award.
