William Leathers represents clients in complex civil litigation. He defends clients in cases against the federal government and in multidistrict litigation, including in antitrust matters and litigation involving the Controlled Substances Act.

Will also helps clients comply with complex legal obligations. He has experience counseling clients about compliance with settlement agreements, injunctive-relief terms, and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) regulations.

Will maintains an active pro bono practice. He represents clients in asylum proceedings before immigration judges and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Will served as a law clerk for Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. While in law school at The University of Texas, he worked with the Supreme Court and the Law and Religion clinics.
